Amelia Ann Adams and Andrew Hale Cheever were married Dec. 14 at the Pitcher Inn in Warren, Vt. Judge Kimba M. Wood of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York officiated.
The bride, 31, will continue to use her title skillfully. She is an artist, designer and owner of Very small Shindigs, a studio in Charleston, S.C., wherever she produces tailor made stationery. She graduated cum laude from Centre Faculty in Danville, Ky.
She is a daughter of Elizabeth Schuette Adams and J. Phillip Adams of Bedford, N.Y. The bride’s father, who labored in New York, retired as a lover in the legislation organization Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. He is now a professor of legislation at the University of Michigan. The bride’s mom, prior to getting a continue to be-at-residence parent, was an actress her roles involved participating in Ann Shirley on the soap opera “As the Globe Turns” from 1982 to 1984.
The groom, 30, is researching for a master’s diploma in environmental science at the School of Charleston. He is a volunteer at the South Carolina Maritime Mammal Stranding Community. He graduated summa cum laude from Tempo College in Pleasantville, N.Y.
He is a son of Janet Maslin and Benjamin H. Cheever of Pocantico Hills, N.Y. The groom’s mother, a longtime motion picture and e-book critic for The New York Periods, is now a contributing book critic for The Occasions. His father is a writer, editor and the creator of numerous guides, such as “Strides: Managing Via History With an Unlikely Athlete,” (Rodale Books), and “Selling Ben Cheever: Back again to Sq. 1 in a Company Financial state,” (Bloomsbury United states).
The groom is a grandson of John Cheever, the Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist and shorter-story author.
The couple met even though in substantial college at Hackley Faculty in Tarrytown, N.Y.
